Wow time sure flies!!!

Well, is really being a while since the last time I posted, lots of things had happened meanwhile, we had mom over the holidays visiting and it was amazing, Alan actually remember his grandma, after 2 years he jumped into her as if the time never had passed, I can remember the day she left Alan was screaming as she walked over the checkpoint at the airport, "NO GUELITA WAIT", it took him like 2 days to get over her departure, we would walk home after school and start calling her "Guelita where are you"....I just hope mom can take the next step and move over, I bet my son would definitely enjoy having grandma closer...

Anyways after Holiday Vacations everything is going just perfect, after two weeks off school, Alan really really enjoyed the first day, we've been getting so many good notes after school started on the 3rd, now he have a date for an IEP review on the 21st, I had a chance to over read what teacher has to say about Alan, it is so cute to have a chance to see what his teacher (and most likely my "right hand") has in mind, and what she's bringing to the table on the meeting!!

Well over all, Alan is doing just as fine, he's showing so much more eye contact, so many feelings hiding that we still have to discover, hubby and I we're watching a documentary earlier, it is amazing what a mother could do to help out his autistic son, she traveled all the way from Iceland to Austin TX, (yes I'm still wondering where in the earth Iceland is), anyways she got him into a fabulous treatment, where even if there was no verbal communication, the kid could actually point at letters and make the words to communicate his needs and feelings, yup as incredible as it sounds but they actually reach a lots of improvement in communicating with their son, it is definitely true---> "There is no impossibles for a Mother's love..."

Changing the subject, we're getting ready for Alan's 5th birthday celebration....yeiiiiiiiiiiiii I can't believe it, time really really flies, he's all grown up now, I'm planning a lunch at one of Disney's restaurants and get the Characters over, I feel a little disappointed because they don't have Alan's favorites (Toy Story ones) =( well I think we can work it out with the Little Einsteins, since they where his favorites a while ago, (he still enjoys the cartoons and songs) he definitely would love the plans mommy has for him (I hope so), and the most wonderful thing, I can definitely and with no doubts can say, Alan is HERE, we're getting him, we're winning....
